Photography and Nature Fashion

I am a core member of Thresh and Bray Theatre Collective, contributing as a performer and musician as well as a costume designer to our debut production, The Dreaming (2023–2026). Alongside my role within the ensemble and the development of the show’s sound, I have created a series of costumes inspired by the landscapes and textures of Devon.

In the lead-up to our first performances, I began photographing these garments within natural environments. Through this process, the work underwent a subtle transformation—the costumes seemed to come alive, gaining a heightened sense of presence and resonance when placed back into the landscapes that inspired them.

This experience has since evolved into an ongoing practice. I continue to design and construct garments in response to elements of local nature, collaborating with friends who model the pieces in situ. The resulting photographs capture a convergence of processes: material craft, performance, and environment. Each image becomes a record of a specific moment—an intersection of making, place, and connection.
