Textiles Workshops

I offer textiles workshops for groups who want to learn and/or collaborate together.

My Quilting workshops are suitable for many different groups and so far I have offered them for baby showers-creating a quilt for the new mother and baby, hen dos- making a quilt for the newly wed couple, Local Libraries- creating a collaborative patchwork for display in local Libraries. The Practice of quilting has a rich history of solidarity, liberation, community building, radical collaboration and resistance. To create a quilt is to create something of substance- that tells a story and holds memories. It offers comfort, warmth and offers a wonderful 'canvas' for capturing  the blessings, wishes and love of a community.

My quilting workshops are structured in a way in which a group can get involved with creating a beautiful printed, collaborative quilt as a gift for a special person, or people with no sewing or printing experience necessary. In fact, these workshops are particularly good for those who say that they aren't any good at art!
